This next section will show you one of the fastest ways to 99 fishing, what to catch and where to catch it.
Runescape Fishing Levels 1-10
At this level, training at catherby is the fastest because it’s is so close to the bank.

All you need is a small fishing net, and weight reducing equipment (optional). When you have a full inventory of fish you can run to the bank, or you can cook them on the range next the the bank. Getting 10 fishing won’t take very long at all.

Runescape Fishing Level 10-30
At this level, you should switch to bait fishing. You can go to draynor village and bait fish there but i would recommend staying at catherby. For bait fishing you will need a fishing rod and some bait, then you can catch some fish and like the previous setion, you can bank it or cook it.

Runescape Fishing Level 30-45/99
Here you have a choice, you could either Fly fish to level 45, then stop or you could carry on all the way to 99 fishing! Fly fishing is the fastest way to get fishing XP in runescape. Head over to shilo village (if you havn’t yet done the quest you could go to barbarian village) with your fly fishing rod and about 1,000 feathers. At shilo village there is a bank very close by, making it one of the best places to fish (for exp).

If you want to make alot of money whilst fishing, read on!
Runescape Fishing Level 45 -55
Here you are going to make a fair amount of money, you will be fishing lobsters at catherby for a while. You will need to catch 1,169 lobsters to get to level 55, meaning you will get a total of 408,566gp. At this stage you will need a lobster pot, this will take a little while but not a ridiculous amount of time.

Runescape Fishing Level 55-80
This is where fishing gets interesting, you should stay at catherby and harpoon swordfish, but when you reach 66 fishing you can enter the fishing guild. The fishing guild has lots of fishing spot and a bank very close by. You will also be able to fish sharks at 76 but you don’t catch the very fast at 76, so i would advise you to wait until 80.

You will need to catch 18,195 swordfish for level 80 which means a staggering 10,034,543gp! And theres still more profit to come!
Runescape Fishing Level 80-99
If you made it this far, congratulations! This is by far the most profitable part of fishing, you will be fishing sharks at the fishing guild. For level 99 you will need a harpoon and you will catch 100,440 sharks, yes it’ll take a while but the profits are huge! You will make 129,919,140gp! Yes, 130Million!

Same with the sharks. There’s no way you’re making 130 million on the road to 99. Regardless, nice guide.
