The Melee Tanker

Introduction
The melee tanker is unique among the tankers, in the fact that it relies more upon maneouvering the opponents and luring them, as well as making them chase you. Melee tankers attack when necessary, and are extremely effective in multi-combat zones where there are plenty of obstacles.

Stats
A melee tanker should have the following stats:
60+ defence (to avoid getting hit as much)
43 Prayer
40 Attack (Optional, only for when you go on offensive)
60+ Strength (Optional, only for when you go on offensive)

Equipment and Inventory
The melee tanker should wield the following equipment:
Rune full helm
(Alternatives: Rune Med Helm)
Rune Platebody
(Alternatives: Rune Chainbody)
Rune Berserker
(Alternatives: Rune Kiteshield, Rune spikeshield)
Rune Scimitar(Offensive)/Fire Staff(Defensive)
(Alternatives: Rune Battle-Axe, any kind of Staff)
Rune Platelegs
(Alternatives: Rune Plateskirt)
Rune Gauntlets (FoG)
(Alternatives: Green D’hide vambraces)
Any kind of boots
(Alternatives: Fighting boots, Colourful boots)
Amulet of Power
(Alternatives: Amulet of Strength, Amulet of Magic)

They should also have the following inventory:
Staff of Fire (or any other staff. The Runecrafting staffs are more effective)
Rune 2h
Strength Pot
Twenty five (25) Lobsters

Prayers
The melee tanker should rely more on their defense and armour rather than prayer. They should only pray when they are eating, or if their being piled. Other than that, their defense should be able to withstand most attacks.

A Weakness
The melee tanker has one weakness: Magic. Of course, the protect against magic prayer can partly counteract this, but keeping it on the whole time can drain prayer fast. If a melee tanker encounters any mages, they need to make sure they kill them as fast as they can, or attempt to lose them. It is because of this that Melee tankers often set the war settings so that magic and ranged are off.
