INTRODUCTION

This guide I wrote is all about ZMI altar runecrafting for more advanced players throughout this guide I will explain methods, tips and requirements for using this altar. ZMI is currently one of the fastest (if not the fastest) way to train runecrafting…so before I get carried away, here is the guide…if you don’t know where ZMI is then take a look below:

Requirements
ZMI can have great rewards, but as all of us know in order to receive great rewards we need to have worked hard enough to use them

Below are all of the requirements for using the altar in the method I will teach you today:

1. 71+ magic
2. Completed Lunar diplomacy and talken to Baba Yaga after the quest to learn the ZMI teleport spell
3. At least 40 prayer for protect from missiles
4. About 1 million gp
5. 40+ summoning

Suggested Inventory
Your inventory can be one of the most important things you can have when using ZMI below is a picture of what you should look like when using the altar, below the picture are explanations for all of the items I am wearing

WEARING:
1. Amulet of Glory: I wear this for when I need to repair my pouches, which will be explained later in the guide
2. Boots of lightness/spottier cape: these are used to reduce weight, which is very important as you will not drain your run as fast, try to keep your weight below 0 kg if possible
3. Lava battlestaff, this can be replaced by any staff that give a infinite amount of earth runes, this is mandatory (needed) as you won’t make enough earth runes to teleport back to the start
4. ring of dueling: used for backup teleports if I forget to change my glory
5. Goldsmith grauntlets: decoration, these can be replaced by penance gloves if you want your weight even lower or any other type of gloves aswell
6. White elegant: used for decoration…you don’t need this is you don’t want

INVENTORY:
1. Pure essence: is a must, you won’t be able to runecraft without this
2. Pouches: used to carry extra essence for more runes/xp per trip
3. Fire runes: used for banking (will be explained later)
4. Bull ant scrolls: used to restore run energy, these can be replaced by terrorbird scrolls if you have 52 or higher summoning

INSIDE THE ZMI (Method)
Alright, now that you are ready now comes the fun part, getting the xp!

Below are pictures and steps on what to do once inside

NOTE: these steps are for those who have there inventory ready the first time the head into the altar…if you need to bank first you will have to rearrange them

1. When you get in you will see a path heading directly south, start following it while you have your run turned on. IMPORTANT: Make sure you pray range while running or else you will have a high chance of dieing….if you find the mages are hitting hard try wearing dragonhide the next few runs

2. Within a short time you will reach the altar, when you get here you can now take your prayer off as the monsters cannot kill you (this is a safe spot)

3. Once you craft your runes you are going to want to teleport back out with the astrals you make (if you find you can’t make enough atrals/laws to teleport out you may want to bring some with you)

4. On the way back in you should drop all the runes that aren’t useful cash these are: body, earth, air, water and mind

Banking
5. When you reach the bank you will now need to pay the banker 20 fire runes to use it, this is why you need to carry a large amount (5k+) of fire runes with you when using this method if you have all 4 pouches then you will need to pay the banker 60 fire runes just to fill up…

Repairing your pouches

Every few trips your pouches will degrade, when this happens just use an amulet of glory to teleport to Edgeville and repair them in the abbys, this also gives you a chance to renew your summoning points at the nearby mini oblisk shown on the map below

FAQ
Q: Can you profit from ZMI
A: Yes, however the amount you make can depend on your Runecrafting level, some may find they are losing money

Q: IS ZMI a fast way to train runecrafting, if so how fast
A: Yes, it is a very fast way to train RC, it can be about 15-25k an hour if you concentrate
