King Black Dragon Guide For Runescape

Requirments80+ Combat is reccomended, unless you are a Pure Ranger.

What’s a KBD?

KBD is King Black Dragon. A very high level dragon, which drops Dragon Visages, worth 17m+. It’s extremely hard to kill, and can kill groups. It is harder than Steel Dragons. It can hit with Magic, Range and Melee, so Protection Prayers aren’t really going to help you.

So What Do I Need?

Here is what I suggest.

Rune c’bow

Bolts of your choice. I suggest Diamond(e) or Ruby(e).

Black D’hide set

Archer Helm (Or Helm Or Neitizot)

Amulet Of Fury (Or Amulet of Glory)

Anti-d shield (Or Dragonfire Shield)

Obby Cape (Or Fire Cape)

You could also us 3rd age, or Armadyl if you have the money.

If you are using melee then I suggest a Whip or something that hits Fast and Accurate, with whatever armour you want. Preferably one that has good defence bonus. It’s very hard to solo KBD with melee, so if you plan to melee, do it with a team.

Inventory?

A good amount of Sharks, Monkfish or Manta Ray. So about 10-15, depending on your combat.

Anti D-fire Pots. 3-5 is good.

Ranging pots. 2-3, depending on your Range Level.

Prayer pots. 1-2, your choice, even you don’t even really need them.

An Anti-Poison, because KBD can poison you.

One Click Teleport. In case you are close to death.

So… Where?

KBD

Maps a little out of date, but the teleports are still there. Go to that green square, near the Chaos Temple and use the obelisk there. Keep using it untill you are at level 44 wilderness. Then follow the red line, run through the Lesser Demons and go down.

Once in there, run to the red leaver. Pull it, then your there. You will notice that you are no longer in the wilderness, so you can teleport out.

Can we kill it yet?

KBD

With your team, make sure that lootshare is on. Then go in there and own. You may need to hop worlds, because KBD is usually packed. You will need to use your Antifire potions before you go into the cave, since KBD hits better than Steel Dragons.
