Long Journey. Part 2

See the Part 1

————————————————————

There was one instant of blackness and then stars appeared. I was falling into space. No, wait!

I just stepped through a trapdoor. A narrow pathway was in front of me and infinite depth of the Holy Barrier behind. As simple as that. No worries.

The pathway ended in a cozy room with a green carpet nicely adjusted on the floor. My good friend Drezel was nervously pacing back in forth. Naturally, I inquired what happened and he gave me a Wolfbane dagger, saying that I lost mine. How nice!
To tell you the truce, I didn’t lost it – I threw it away in one of those desperate moments when I was trying to squeeze something useful into my over packed bank account.

Now, see the dagger in my inventory? It is the one.

I opened the gate and crossed a room with monuments and the Well, noticing old blood stains on the floor. Could as well be mine, for all I know…

One more gate and my old buddy Temple dog greeted me. Yes, we had a fight once, but since then we are the best friends. I left him a few mushrooms to play with and went up the ladder.

A faint breeze touched my face, a bat silently flew away. I stepped between gravestones and thus entered the noble Kingdom of Misthalin!

An impressive three store Zamorak monastery stood on the border and I went in to recharge my prayer. Zamorak monks in red robes were swarming around. I decided to investigate the monastery a bit more. Can you imagine my surprise, when I found Drezel on the third floor, caged and distressed?! Amazing how he could get there faster than me. He might have used some kind of a shortcut or even magic! Anyway, as I said, he was quite distressed and refused to talk any sense, so I left.

Down the steps I went. The path made a few gently turns, hills drew closer and I noticed a small side road to the north. As curios as I am, I couldn’t resist and followed it. Limestone mine – that is where the road led me.

I mined a few slabs with a thought to make bricks out of them later on and fix a loose stone in one of my fireplaces. Little known fact is that limestone bricks can be used for Construction leveling (long but very cheap way of doing it).

Bone Man walked over and invited me to his museum. Yeah, I used to bring bones for his collection, but now, thinking about it, I am not so sure about what he actually does with these bones. Anyway, having no desire to be rude, I killed a bat and dropped bones in front of the house. Then I read wish list poster on the wall. To my surprise it stated: Non-chafing Manacles. What could it be, I wondered (in fact, I still do)?

But enough is enough. I returned to the main road and continued my journey west. A few more turns, a few more hills and I reached the fence. Opened the gate and for the first time entered FREE lands of Runescape.
