Moparscape Servers Are So Popular
According to a recent search I did on Google Trends Moparscape is more popular than ever and continuing to grow in popularity. If you don’t know what Moparscape is you can read a bit about it this Moparscape Servers guide. Here is the trend of people searching for moparscape below:
For me personally I never really understood the attraction about Moparscape, because it took all the achievement out of playing the game. I mean what is so cool about giving yourself a Runescape party hat and 99 stats in everything on a moparscape server if no time energy and effort has gone into obtaining them. Surely those that play Moparscape don’t play for that long as all the joy would be taken out of the game fairly quickly, especially considering you can’t even keep the items you obtain or give to yourself.
I can appreciate that those who have been temporarily or permanently banned from Runescape may opt to go play on Runescape private servers like moparscape, but surely this is a small minority of players and as such I can’t imagine people are playing on these servers unless for some other reason. Not to mention that playing on Runescape private servers like moparscape also jeopardizes your account from both hacking and Jagex banning you. So why?
Well here are a few comments from a Runescape Boards thread, Why Play Moparscape:
- It felt good to be rich for once, and I enjoyed battling against monsters with any weapon I choose that I’d have no chance against on my normal Runesacpe account.
- Because you can still PK and I loved Pking on Runescape before they removed it.
- I like being about to make different items like black party hats and other clothes for my character that look cool.
- It is cool to be able to make videos of playing in Moparscape of things like fighting Steel Dragons with like a mith dagger and then posting it on YouTube. Lots of people think it is real.
So why do you think Moparscape servers are growing in popularity?

Most MoparScape servers let you use a completely different name and password than your RuneScape one. You can make it all up. My McAfee SiteAdvisor tells me that there are no bad downloads on the MoparScape websites. How could they hack you? There are no Trojans on downloading MoparScape, or on any of the servers.

Don’t use your actual Jagex username and password on a moparscape server and you are fine.
I looked into the world of runescape private servers before & moparscape is a trusted website.
You will not be banned from runescape by using a moparscape server. they don’t know you’re using it.

why use mopar? because after all the new things that runescape comes out with… sometimes its fun to see what you want to work up to. if you never knew what it was like to have 99 range or 99 mage… then how would you know what you’re working for is worth it. people want to know if when they get to 99 mage if it is going to better their ability to excell in the game or not. they want to know what kind of damage they can do with a crystal bow and 99 range. they want to know if that item (i.e. abyssal whip, dragon 2h sword, dragon sq, etc) is worth working for. it is a good way to find what is out there… its like a day at the beach… if you never knew it was there, why would you work to get a day off to go there?

I read that by rulse of jagex your are allowed to play moparscape. As long as the server wont interfere with the real runesape, its ok to play.

My friend william showed me how to play moparscape and it rocks. i would have never known what it was like to be so powerful and RICH. Though it does lose its spazam after awhile.

but first click start server
then on moparscape click file new server type in you ip address and the add port 43594

Moparscape owns runescape ten fold! you can have all the items that are in rs and the there’s no jagex to skrew the up! Like they did you RS! retards… jagex is retarted the updates suck! Mopar and silab own!!

Moparscape isn’t always about giving yourself large amounts of cash and doing everything quickly without trying most people do it because its a easy way to begin coding Java and make your own Runescape server with your own ideas, well thats my idea anyway

Some Moparscape or Runescape Private Servers are very stable and are a lot like older Runescape. I’m almost positive that more people liked the old Runescape than the new Runescape. That’s probably why, and if everyone knew about Moparscape that played Runescape I wouldn’t doubt that people would start playing the Private Servers instead. Which would pretty much be the end of Jagex. They would go quadruped in a matter of weeks.

dude the ONLY reson people go to play moparscape is because fagex took evrything away that runescape players loved, the wildi, unballenced trades, ect now think about this all thous famous pkers defil3d, range of ish, mikal pro, ect have nothing to do but skill unless they want to go get there asses kicked in bh witch i might add is the geyest minigame they have added. it’s att the new updates thats putting people twards moparscape.. not the growing population. now about half of runescape has no purpus.. moparscape gives evrything that jagex took away from use. also jagex is slowly killing the game we once new as runescape. boringscape is what it is now. jagex is killing it’s self!

I’m pretty sure moparscape isn’t legal. I’m a player mod on runescape and even though i haven’t seen anything against it, i’m pretty sure moparscape is illegal and in violation of the runescape rules. But it’s still a pretty cool concept! i’ll find out what jagex says and let you all know.

moparscape is ok but we need to see people in some of the worlds and need like dragon and every good stuff to ne in it as i say its ok to play but its bad when u cant see urself on moparscape.
and some people are really weird on how they make there moparscape server it doesent have to be the best it can be any thing it doesent mater wat pasentage it is all that matters is that you like it.
so if you want to make a moparscape server go ahead nothing is stopping you.

Aside from being against the law, it is also a prime breeding ground for hackers and scammers.
I know that many ppl try Moparscape to ‘test drive’ items they might not be able to get in RuneScape, or to enjoy activities that are no longer available in RuneScape. I’m also sure there are some great ppl who have set up Moparscape sites that are ’safe’. I’ll bet there are at least the same number of sites that will download identity theft code which can do far worse than steal your RuneScape account!
The possibility of identity theft should be enough to steer smart people away from any Moparscape server (or any “RuneScape” private server).

If half of these kids knew what they were talking about they would know moparscape is usually used to get on private servers, rather than log onto that default, empty, and lame world you start on. Most private servers dont even use mopar or silab, they have their own client.
o.o I remember when I thought mopar was an empty ‘have anything and do nothing’ land
My point is, the only reason Mopar is getting so popular is because Runescape is failing hard, and all these kids on RS hear about Mopar. They think that’s what private servers are [poor souls D:], and they go check it out.
Simple as that, after they removed the wild runescape started getting terrible, and now it’s crumbling, so kids are trying to replace it.
