Moparscape Servers Are So Popular
According to a recent search I did on Google Trends Moparscape is more popular than ever and continuing to grow in popularity. If you don’t know what Moparscape is you can read a bit about it this Moparscape Servers guide. Here is the trend of people searching for moparscape below:
For me personally I never really understood the attraction about Moparscape, because it took all the achievement out of playing the game. I mean what is so cool about giving yourself a Runescape party hat and 99 stats in everything on a moparscape server if no time energy and effort has gone into obtaining them. Surely those that play Moparscape don’t play for that long as all the joy would be taken out of the game fairly quickly, especially considering you can’t even keep the items you obtain or give to yourself.
I can appreciate that those who have been temporarily or permanently banned from Runescape may opt to go play on Runescape private servers like moparscape, but surely this is a small minority of players and as such I can’t imagine people are playing on these servers unless for some other reason. Not to mention that playing on Runescape private servers like moparscape also jeopardizes your account from both hacking and Jagex banning you. So why?
Well here are a few comments from a Runescape Boards thread, Why Play Moparscape:
- It felt good to be rich for once, and I enjoyed battling against monsters with any weapon I choose that I’d have no chance against on my normal Runesacpe account.
- Because you can still PK and I loved Pking on Runescape before they removed it.
- I like being about to make different items like black party hats and other clothes for my character that look cool.
- It is cool to be able to make videos of playing in Moparscape of things like fighting Steel Dragons with like a mith dagger and then posting it on YouTube. Lots of people think it is real.
So why do you think Moparscape servers are growing in popularity?

Most MoparScape servers let you use a completely different name and password than your RuneScape one. You can make it all up. My McAfee SiteAdvisor tells me that there are no bad downloads on the MoparScape websites. How could they hack you? There are no Trojans on downloading MoparScape, or on any of the servers.

Don’t use your actual Jagex username and password on a moparscape server and you are fine.
I looked into the world of runescape private servers before & moparscape is a trusted website.
You will not be banned from runescape by using a moparscape server. they don’t know you’re using it.

why use mopar? because after all the new things that runescape comes out with… sometimes its fun to see what you want to work up to. if you never knew what it was like to have 99 range or 99 mage… then how would you know what you’re working for is worth it. people want to know if when they get to 99 mage if it is going to better their ability to excell in the game or not. they want to know what kind of damage they can do with a crystal bow and 99 range. they want to know if that item (i.e. abyssal whip, dragon 2h sword, dragon sq, etc) is worth working for. it is a good way to find what is out there… its like a day at the beach… if you never knew it was there, why would you work to get a day off to go there?
