Runescape Abbreviations Guide

Sometimes you may not know what item someone is talking about if they use abbreviations like most people do. You may feel like a real newb if you are clueless. So this doesnt happen, I wrote a guide for you on all of the abbreviations of runescape items and activities that I know. I am not going to include simple net slang such as “lol” or “omg”. If you do not know those, well you may be a newb.

abby: abyss/abyssal

AD: achievement diary

addy: adamant

ags: armadyl godsword

alch: alchemy spell

ammy: amulet

ancients: ancient majicks

ardy: ardougne

atk: attack

B

BA: barbarian assult mini-game

bgs: bandos godsword

barrows: items from the barrows mini-game

B axe: battleaxe

BB: big bones

BH: bounty hunter

BS: bowstring

b sale: big sale or bank sale

C

camo: camoflauge items

cammy: camelot

cav: cavalier

CB: combat

chain: chainmail

chins: chinchompas

con: construction

CW: clan wars or castle wars (these two tend to get confusing)

d2h: dragon two handed

d: ususally means dragon

dag: dagannoth

db: dragon bones

d bow: dark bow

dd/dds/ddp/ddp+: all different forms of dragon daggers

def: defense

d full: dragon full helm

dfs: dragonfire shield

dh: dhorak, usually the armour

d hide: dragonhide

dt: desert treasure

edgy: edgeville

ele: elegant

ess: essence

exp: expirience

f2p: free to play

fally: falador

ffs: for fu**’s sake

fm: firemaking

fog: fist of guthix minigame

fremmy: fremennick

ftw: for the win

ftl: for the loss

fury: amulet of fury

g maul: granite maul

gc: gnome copters

GE: grand exchange

glory: amulet of glory

gp: gold pieces, the currency of runescape

gop: great orb project

gs: godsword

gwd: god wars dungeon

H.A.M.: humans against monsters

herby: herblore

hits: hitpoints

hop: switch worlds

HP: hitpoints

irl: in real life

J-Mod: jagex moderator

k: 1000 (10k=10000)

KBD: king black dragon

KQ: kalphite queen

lag: a slow connection and cause the game to “jump” and be delayed

law: law rune

limp: limpwort root

lobby: lobster

logged: just logged in/out

lumby: lumbridge

lvl: level

M

m: million, such as 2,000,000=2m

mage: magic, or one who uses magic in combat

max hit: the highest damage you have dealt in one hitsplat

mm: monkey madness

mossies: moss giants

nat: nature rune

nfs: not for sale

noob: annoying player

newb: someone who is new to game

NPC: non player character

obby: obsidian/tzhaar item

P

pc: price check

phat: party hat

pj: pile jumper

pk: player kill(er/ing)

pl8: platebody

pl8legs: platelegs

plunder: pyramid plunder

pm: private message

Pmod: player moderator

POH: player owned house

pot: potion

powertrain: training in fastest way possible

pray: prayer

pure: someone who trains combat skills with exception of defense

pwn: to easily kill

ranger: one who uses ranged attacks for combat

rc: runcrafting

rev: revenant ghost

RFD: recipe for disaster

rimmy: rimmington

rs: runescape

rsc: runescape classic

rwt: real world trading

safer: one who runs away from a fight

santa: santa hat from christmas event

sara: saradomin

sgs: saradomin godsword

SC: stealing creation mini-game

Scimmy: scimitar

Soz/srry: sorry

spec: special attack

sq: square

ss: saradomin sword

str: strength

super set: super attack, stenght, and defense potions

swordy: swordfish

tally: talisman

tank: a pure with some defense

tb: teleblock

tt: treasure trails

visage: dragonic visage

x bow: crossbow, usually karil’s
