Runescape Glitches

What are Runescape Glitches?

Just like the meaning of ‘glitch’ in other gaming context, Runescape Glitches are problems in the game that stop features functioning as they normally would. Sometimes there are Runescape Glitches that arn’t so much of a problem but need to be fixed, and then there are other Runescape Glitches that exploit the game in such a way, they need to be fixed immediately.

Some of the Worst Runescape Glitches

I decided that I would enlighten you to some of the past glitches that have been exploited in Runescape. Have a read of the following:-

 The World 111 Glitch

On June 6th 2006 (6/6/6), the “World 111 Glitch”, also known as “Runescape 666″,   “The Falador Masacre” which shares many other names, hell broke loose and Runescape Players became victims of the biggest threat in Runescape. What was the threat, I’m sure your eager to know. Basically this Runescape Glitch appeared, when Cursed You became the first person to get 99 Construction, as at the end of his party, he expelled guests from his house, and those that were in the combat ring had the option to ‘Attack’ outside of the house and at all places in Runescape. This Runescape Glitch allowed massacre to spread and people lost varieties of items, ranging from rune armour to a green party hat. Unfortunately, the victims of this outbreak didn’t get any lost items back but were offered an appology by Jagex. Unrelated to the Runescape Glitch, Cursed You actually got banned from Runescape permanently for Real World Trading.

Party Hat Duplicating

Imagine being able to duplicate Party Hats using Runescape Glitches. Hmm, that’d require you to have one first which would seem too much like hard work. What about being able to create any item from scratch? Sounds a lot easier, and it’s exactly what Sixfeetunder managed to do…that was before he was banned. He used Runescape Item IDs in order to generate more of specific items, and because, for example, all r2h have the ID of 81, Jagex could not tell which were real and which were fake. Sixfeetunder told a few friends about the Runescape Glitch he had discovered, and managed to get banned for abusing the game, whether or not his argument to that he wasn’t going to do anything to effect the Runescape economy actually got read by Jagex.

The Conclusion

My suggestion to you is that if you find a Runescape Glitch, or Runescape Glitches, report them immediately to Jagex. Don’t try and abuse the game, stick to the rules, because believe it or not, someone will find out one day, and you risk your account being locked down for ever. Don’t share them with your friends as you only risk their game-play too…which isn’t at all fair to them. Have fun playing Runescape, and hopefully you’ll never fall victim to Runescape Glitches that allow people to chase you around Runescape in chase for your items!
