Runescape Hacks and Runescape Cheats Trending Down
I have been recently delving into the minds of some players from the dark side of Runescape (Moparscape Usage)and I have been doing some research on search trends and I was surprised to find that the number of players searching for Runescape hacks has been fairly consistent over the last four years, though is starting to trend down a little, but over the last 18 months the number of people searching for Runescape cheats has been distinctly trending down:
An interesting question that arises from these figures is, why are these search terms going against the general trend of the game, which has been going from strength to strength in recent years? Is it that players have begun to realise that there aren’t any really good Runescape cheats out there? Or are they are learning that using Runescape cheats will get you banned? Yet that doesn’t explain why players are searching for Runescape hacks at a fairly consistent rate when most players should have worked out by now that information on how to hack Runescape or how to hack Runescape characters is pretty much non-existent on the web.
The only theory that I can think of that partially justifies the downward trend of players searching for Runescape cheats and Runescape hacks is that it would appear in recent times players have refined their search terms when looking for ways to cheat Runescape, searching more often with terms like Runescape bots and for a Runescape auto which are more accurate to what they are actually after. These terms over the last 12 months have been trending up if anything:
With that said it is really interesting to note the distinct drop in the number of searches Runescape auto right before New Years 2008. I wonder if this has anything to do with the new trade restrictions or if this was just a natural flucation in the serach statistics that seems to happen around Christmas and New Years. What do you think?

Jagex has been very aggressive in stopping cheaters. I think their hard work is paying off. The GE and limits on unbalanced trades have gone a long way to stop real-world-trading.

i have a lvl 75 char in runescape an i dont no why jagex cares so much about cheaters an gold buyers we give them there 5 bucks a month we shouldnt have to play under such restricted rules we cant curse we can buy gold we cant auto type uno its like ya instead of doing it the easy way an autotyping lets just sit here an type till r fingers fall off i just think all the new rules just arent cool at all jagex is very stupid they need to to take off some of there rules

I dont think the rules are stupid you just need to know how to obey them and not bug people who really are into the game and obey them. If u have a problem with this add my username “wis mustangs” or dont complain about the rules when your playing the game. Thanks

well, for me, the rules do put some kind of barrier that is nessessary, but still annoying. i have no real probelm with the new rules aside from the fact that now, after a couple of my own accounts have been hacked, and they were good ones, why we can’t fight back with a couple of hacking downloads that we, the serious players, can use to get our accounts back. i don’t think that anyone really tries to help me, quite frankly. its like as im getting more accounts lost, all i can do is sit here and wait for this account to get hacked. i cant take this for much longer, its monotonious how my ‘life’ on RS is.i get a good account, and i lose it. and i have to agree with lorditaci7 up there. he has good points on how things are being blotted out, and they aren’t swear words, and autotyping is good! at least my fingers wouldn’t be so tired after all the typing i do if autotype was accessable. i think the GE has actually downgraded RS because there is no way someone can majorly swindle ppl. it also does inhibit the prices of RS majorly. i payed for my rune kiteshield for 43k, when i know it should have been more expencive. i felt like i was ripping the guy off. i think it was good before all of the limits of trading and whatnot. and hey, if some noob cant get around so well, tough. it was how it was. if you didn’t understand something, you could go to the tutors or maybe ask a friend how to do it…….. Idk about you guys, but im almost done with RS, and ive only been playing a couple of years. the discusting parts like losing accounts and not being able to do anything about it, no autotype to save fingers, and the entire trading industry downgrade, it all makes me want to gag. how about you?? IF anyone care, the two previous accounts i have lost are- hot babe1654 and gandof79. if anyone could tell me that they could help, im always avalilable on RS in the evenings. katarn out……..

rwt trading was losing jagex money, they were spending all there cash on stopping it. they try to stop it because it makes the game cheap, if every1 had 10m the game would get boring, people will quit and they would lose money. Lots of people use forged or hacked banks accounts to buy their gold so at the end of the day jagex have to refund the banks.

look at my comment above - limited trades and pking banned was a shit update but it saved runescape - read their development iaries if you need 2 - look jagex hated doing thst update - there is odvious reason s why they did it - tjey wouldn’t do it if their wasn’t a strong problem

You People Should Obey The Rules If You Think About It Jagex Did’nt Have To Make RuneScape Free . And You Dont Have To Pay Money Every Month Its Only If You Become A Member You Peep’s Would Have Never Lasted In RuneScape For All Those Years Like Me . I Mean To Say That After Playing RuneScape For 7 Years I Did’nt Even Be Mean Once . Ya know, hacking and botting used to be a real problem. I have played RS since it was little. The RWT was a problem and caused a lot of issues with account security. Not to mention the money lost by Jagex. If people can’t understand that if Jagex loses money, we lose RuneScape. They need their money to maintain the game for the players. Its an endless cycle. The economy in-game is not affected by RWT. Its affected by money farming(botting) and how much people pay for items. I will say that I did bot once and I found that just doing the same task the bot did myself was much faster. I do not see any reason someone should pay for GP or a bot. If you want a bot, program it yourself. If you want gold.. just play the game like its meant to be played. It may be a game but that doesn’t mean you can just get the easy way into doing things. I was angry about the trade limits because that hampered me from helping my friends out with some cash but I understood the reason for it and accepted it. I am now finding that it has helped me get a lot of GP by my hard work and see no reason in buying GP. But.. we will always have problems such as RWT and account hacking. Its inevitable. But at least Jagex has come so far to putting a near death hold onto it.

The New stupid rules are gay and if they don’t take them off i am going to quit and i will tell all of my friends to quit to i disagree with them and very very unhappy with them

okay i quit runescape because it seems like the only players are paying 5.00 a month to play it and all you see in every world is big shots talking crap about noobs and showing the noobs ( i guess i wuld call myself a noob at lvl 57 or sumtin ) how they can spend there 5.00 on a computer. But seriously i haven’t seen one person on Runescape that hasn’t complained about being hacked. My friends would hack eachother and they just forgot about it and played on. you guys don’t have to always worry about being hacked 24-7 if you just keep all ur personal info to urself. just think about wat this message is about. peace….

I wonder if the runescape hacks download numbers have continued to fall over the last year? I hope they have, plus it was always so hard to find runescape hacks free of virus and trojans which just lead to so many players losing their accounts to the hackers themselves. At the end of the day if there aren’t runescape hacks no download required chances are Runescape can’t be hacked so people should just stop trying.
So rather than looking for runescape hacks for money players should just focus on making money in runescape the old fashioned way.
